house #5: master bath before/after

by the time we got to the master bath, we knew we were going to be moving shortly.
our original plan was to totally reconfigure this bathroom, but instead we opted for a "quickie"
remodel that included replacing the countertops, all plumbing fixtures and painting.
before:
yes, more ivy decals...

luckily, they came off easily with a razor blade and some elbow grease.
white, more white and brass.
pretty blah.
when i took these pictures, we had already replaced the dated brass light fixture.

the mirror comes out.
for budgetary reasons, we had to keep the original cabinets and floors.
after:

not the biggest "wow" after, for sure.
(we had just found out that we were going to have to close the doors to our building company
and take a job across the country, and frankly,
it was hard to even care what the bathroom looked like at that point in time.)
because the existing tile was mostly white with a slight grey vein to it,
i thought changing the counters to cararra marble would be a good choice.
we replaced the sinks with vessel sinks
and changed out all the hardware and faucets
and the shower door trim.
we replaced the mirror and added a beveled edge to it to dress it up a bit.
the light fixtures were all replaced and the walls painted.

i honestly can't remember the name of the paint color in this bathroom.
i was kinda busy packing and having a nervous breakdown when i selected it. :)
